Communications Specialist - Lutherwood

The Communications Specialist supports all Lutherwood departments and the Lutherwood Child and Family Foundation with ongoing support and execution of communications and marketing activities for internal and external audiences. Working as part of our Communications and Marketing Department, this position primarily focuses on writing articles, newsletters and blog posts as well as photography, video production and editing to support effective internal communications and external marketing of programs and services. Other occasional responsibilities will include assisting with marketing and communication plan development, and the design and production of a variety of communication and marketing content.
College and/or university education in journalism, communications, marketing or related field and a minimum of two years of experience in a communication, marketing or journalist-related role. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use photography-editing and video-editing software are required. Previous experience developing and executing communications and marketing plans, and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, problem solve and work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
